Hi to all CNI readers. I recently saw a quote in I. Duffy's oifig that stated 'a child who reads is an adult who thinks'. Critical thinking is what is required in the modern world and I'm delighted literacy is being promoted in so may ways in CNI including the fancy new leabharlann with its uber-cool mindful space that looks like a desert oasis.


I have always envied and admired people who read for pleasure as I was never an avid reader when I was young (yes all those years ago). Looking at others engrossed in a world of excitement for example travelling on the train I wished I could develop the skill to stay settled long enough with a…
